Bronze Bar Stock

Bronze bar stock, cored bar, solid bar, and flat plate for machining bushings, bearings, wear plates, and custom components.

Bronze bar stock, raw material, and machined bearing blanks for custom components

Bronze bar stock is the starting point for machined bushings, bearings, thrust washers, wear plates, gears, nuts, and custom industrial components. Buyers usually choose between solid round bar, cored bar, flat plate, and cut-to-size blanks depending on the final part geometry.

For bearing work, the most common starting material is continuous cast C93200 / SAE 660. Higher-strength applications often move to C95400 aluminum bronze, C86300 manganese bronze, or marine bronze alloys.

Manufacturing & Performance

Continuous cast bronze is widely used for bearing bar stock because it produces a dense, uniform structure with reduced porosity and predictable machinability. That matters for shops cutting bores, grooves, shoulders, and close-tolerance bearing surfaces.

Choosing the right stock shape reduces machining time. Cored bar saves material when the final part is a sleeve or ring. Solid bar is better for shafts, small bushings, plugs, and turned components. Flat plate is the practical form for wear plates, guide strips, and non-round machined parts.

Size & Availability

Bronze bar stock can be supplied in inch or metric sizes, full lengths, cut lengths, or blanks ready for machining. For custom parts, send the final drawing so the most efficient stock form can be selected before quoting.
